The news around the country yesterday, was that South Africans are facing an increase likelihood of obesity and diabetes, and they needed an intensive study to realise that?

Food has long been the placating drug of choice. And it is no surprise that the result of convenience foods, stress, and bad habits have culminated in a health crisis.

I have been teaching Fat Loss Coaching* and Weight Loss techniques for more than 25 years and have come to the conclusion that the root causes for obesity have not really changed.

There are only two reasons why we continue to get fat, obese and insulin resistant.

1. We don’t know what to do. I.e. we have no idea that chocolate coated cereal and sitting on the coach are not conducive to being slim and trim or

2. We know what to do but feel “de-motivated”, “uninspired’, or “out of control”

Well, unless you have been living in small cardboard box at the bottom of the pond for the last 20 years, I think we can scrap point number 1.

I don’t want to get into the carb debate right now, but it is interesting to notice that we know more about foods and chemistry than ever before and we are getting fatter and unhealthier, (that is an exclusive “we” because I am at the leanest levels I have ever been!)

That means that knowledge not the issue in most cases.

Motivation and Mind Power Make The Difference

What is the difference between someone who makes sudden life changes in order to get a grip on their lives. To enjoy eating food that the body craves and to love every elevated beat of their hearts during an exhilarating workout?

You are motivated all of the time, it is impossible not to be.

Do you have lots of motivation in the following areas?
